2-4 hours to Chicago, Indianapolis, St. Louis, and Louisville

New Orleans and Washington, D.C. are 11 hours away

And you can be on the beach in Florida in 10.5 hours.

Affordable

The cost of living in the area is nearly 20% below the national average. Imagine owning a $300,000 home, sitting on over an acre of land, with annual property taxes that are less than 2 months’ rent in big cities. You’ll pay less for housing, utilities and gas. In addition to the savings, you won’t be sitting in traffic for hours at a time. As if that’s not enough, you’ll also be making a tremendous impact to the safety and security of the nation in a stable job where the ability to grow is boundless.

Family & More

Yes, it’s affordable to live here. But, that’s not all. We have amazing schools from elementary to the Universities of Indiana, Purdue, and Rose-Hulman. Elementary and secondary schools are highly rated and you are never far from a fun activity. When you (or the kids) need to get in the holiday spirit, you can do that any time in nearby Santa Claus, Indiana. For the grownups, there is a wine trail and historic theaters. Plus, all the fun to be had in gorgeous French Lick.

Local Fun

Love hiking or biking? We have trails for days, and you won’t have to spend a few hours in the car to get to them, they are everywhere.

Just east of Bloomington is Brown Country State Park with amazing mountain biking trails. This trail system is on the bucket list of mountain biking trail riders everywhere.

You can also hunt, and fish, and garden. Or just enjoy amazing farmer’s markets and an abundance of Amish attractions.

City fun

With major cities 2-4 hours away, your weekends don’t have to be all that quiet. You can have the most amazing meal and see a show in Chicago, watch the Hoosiers play Big 10 football and basketball (and so much more) in Bloomington, check out a Colts game, or go see the Bears, or the Cubs, or the Cardinals play ball. You can also visit zoos, parks, and museums, as well as see concerts and music festivals, all a stone’s throw away. World class entertainment, food, and events are just a short drive from your quiet little corner of Indiana.

We can’t wait to show you around.
